Photographing art

So I’ve been working with a web designer, Noelle Mena, on a new website. I accidentally crashed my old one back in November. Initially, I was totally panicked but realized it was out of my control and I wasn’t super crazy about it anyway. So had to let it go and gain control, right? I started looking at websites that I liked and that’s how I found Noelle. Anyway, through the course of working together, she mentioned to me about taking photographs of my art in a better way to really showcase the art. I use to try and do …

Junk Journal Journey in June – 3 day class

I’ll be teaching my version of a junk journal this June 2020 in Frederick, Maryland at Art Collective. The event is being hosted by Chelsea Weiss. The class will be 3 days, starting Friday June 26- June 28th. If you go to this page, you can read all about the event.     Why 3 days? Well technically, its 2.5 days. We have a lot to do! “Hope and Imagine” a fundraiser for MOGO after Australian fires

My good friend, Seth Apter and I decided to organize a fundraiser in order to support Mobilising for Mogo , after our friend Sallianne McClelland shared with us how the Mogo Local Aboriginal Land Council was destroyed with the fire also destroying the art gallery. So far we have sold half of the tickets in this special fundraiser and to date have raised AUD2300 that is going directly to help the artists get back on their feet. There is no middle man in this fundraiser with donations going directly into the MLALC bank account. Please share and support this …

Mixed media art journaling with Sketchbook Skool

promo:   In September, I collaborated with¬†Sketchbook Skool along with 3 other artists to teach a four week class on mixed media art journaling. They hired a crew to come out and film in my studio which was really fun! (although, truth be told, I was a little nervous – speaking into the dark void of a camera lens was challenging for me. I wanted to look anywhere but there. But the experience was wonderful and I hope we get to do it again sometime! The class is still available to take but in a self-paced form (meaning without interaction …

Winter nesting – a peek inside my bedroom

I traveled for Thanksgiving and then I traveled again for Christmas. After I’m done traveling, I don’t really like putting all my stuff away. You know all the stuff you packed and then had to wash? Then it sits in the laundry basket. At least I got the suitcases unpacked. But I really do not like putting clothes away. Lol, not sure why that is! Then I noticed I was making piles around the room and I don’t like piles. I like things to look clean and tidy. I may have a lot of stuff, but I like it organized …
